Manikarnika Kangana Ranaut’s magnum opus ‘Manikarnika-The Queen Of Jhansi is one of the much-awaited film’s of the month. The film has been the talk of the town for a very long time. The film is gearing for its release on January 25 and in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages simultaneously, and the makers of the film are leaving no stone unturned for the film’s promotions. While you wait to know what the film has to offer, the new patriotic anthem ‘Vijayi Bhava’ from Manikarnika has been launched today.
Musical maestro, Shankar Mahadevan, has given magic tough to the music with his soulful rendition to the track. The song will give you musical depth, a lot of melody and emotion of patriotism. The music has been composed by legendary musical trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy and lyrics have been penned by ace lyricist Prasoon Joshi. Kangana’s strong performance and the captivating look are to be applauded. The song is very beautiful, touching and will give you goosebumps.
Speaking about the song national award-winning actor Kangana Ranaut said, “Vijayi Bhava was recorded first, and is a massive scale song of war preparation. I’ve never done something of this nature before. It is upscale and has a high tempo which will be celebrated”.
The film is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai, played by Kangana. Manikarnika-The Queen Of Jhansi also stars Ankita Lokhande, Misti, Danny Denzongpa and Atul Kulkarni among others. The film has been written by KV Vijayendra Prasad who has written blockbuster films such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan and the Baahubali franchise.
Kangana on Manikarnika clash with Thackeray: There is no pressure, no one asked us to shift release date
Kangana Ranaut‘s upcoming film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, which is set to release in two week’s time, launched its first song from the film today. At the launch, the entire star cast as well as music directors and lyricist Prasoon Joshi were present. Music director trio Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy were present at the launch. Speaking about the song Prasoon said, “This is like a tribute. I used to think why a film on Rani of Jhansi hasn’t been made in this long. Then I got to know Kangana is determined to play this role, what better I could have asked for.”
Kangana also addressed the media gathered for the launch, speaking about the film she said, “I have worked in small films and Manikarnika is huge in terms of people I am associated to. There are 7 to 8 songs in the film. You will have a great time listening to the album.”
The Queen actress also addressed the box office clash with Nawazuddin’s Thackeray biopic on January 25. She said, “No one has told us to shift our release date and in fact no one has approached us. It’s a big window and I think two films can easily release. There was no pressure.”
Earlier, there were reports of makers of Manikarnika being asked to shift their release dates owing to Thackeray’s release. However, Kangana today put all of those rumours to rest. Kangana will be essaying the role of Rani Laxmibai and has undergone physical training, learned sword-fighting and horse-riding for her character in the film. Manikarnika will hit the theaters on January 25 the same day as Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Thackeray as well as Emraan Hashmi’s Cheat India.
